August Break - Bright Pink Zinnia

2 comments:

  1. Jill, I participated in August Break last year and really enjoyed it. I linked to your blog from Flying Lessons and am amazed at how much we have in common. Zinnias are one of my favorite things to photograph. I actually grow them to make flower arrangements for work and they just really brighten my days! I also noticed the BraveGirls Club button in your sidebar. I have been wanting to go for a while, but haven't managed to make it yet. I am, however, about to return to Squam Art Workshops for my second time and I'm so excited. I have a dream to start a women's art camp in Texas some day (in my free time!). That's my "creative art biz" goal. Have you been to Brave Girls?

  2. Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by! I love zinnias--my favorite mid-summer flower:) I did the Soul Restoration but didn't actually go to a Brave Girls Camp--would love to very much, but money is tight as I only work part-time right now. I would love to be part of a woman's art camp--I've been thinking about setting up workshops for girls around ages 9-and up to help empower them, but don't know where to start. I am a former English teacher so I do have teaching experience, but not sure if I'd contact a local collage for space, etc. to get started.

Best wishes on starting your art camp-what a great place for women! I've never been to one so I can just imagine how great it would be!

    Jill
