It Is Time - Believe

One of the earlier quotes of the Soul Restoration class is "It is Time" and it has stuck with me.  It is almost a command to get yourself together because it is time--no more procrastinating, no more hemming and hawwing--NO MORE EXCUSES!  I think I needed that.  It has pushed me a little harder to continue working with my art and working with my true self.  I feel like I'm examining myself more, but not in a bad or critical way.

The word BELIEVE has also become more prominent in my thoughts because of this as well.  It is for you as much as it is for me.

BELIEVE...that you are perfect the way you are--really you are.
BELIEVE...that your dreams are special and important.
BELIEVE...that you are loved.
BELIEVE...that it's okay to be different--it's even better to be different than the rest.
BELIEVE...that you are beautiful.
BELIEVE...that everything will work out at the right time for you.

It is time for us to believe in ourselves.

I'm on spring break - yeah!

Yes, I'm on spring break, but not on a vacation out of town for sprinig break.  Just off of work, but woohoo does it feel great!  I plan on reading, painting, napping and taking walks (if the weather actually gets better), and seeing a friend's brand new baby boy Cole.  Unfortunately, my daughter's school district had off this week, so this is our first year we didn't have off together--a bummer.

But....I will truly enjoy my alone time.  A lot.  Just finished this painting and posted it on etsy this morning.  I'm pretty obssesed with positive and encouraging messages lately and this one is entitled "Follow Your Heart."

It's amazing how ever since I started painting (what my heart has told me to do), I am such a happier, more at peace girl.

What does your heart tell you to do?  Are you listening?

What a Great Spring Day!

Wow--we finally had a real taste of spring today!  It got into the 60s and it was heaven.

Isabella and I played a little bit of tennis with our pink rackets in the driveway.  We also took Mazie to the dog park which we've been dying to get to since last fall when we took our final trip there before the snow fell.

When we got home, we turned the heat off, opened a few windows and sat in the sunroom, snuggled on the couch with Mazie between us--Bella reading a Junie B. Jones book and me reading Lost and Found by Geneen Roth (which I'm loving by the way).

Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, so we plan to enjoy being outside as much as possible!  I'm a new person when the sun starts shining more, the breezes are warmer and we can hear tons of birds singing.  How about you?  Is it getting nicer where you live? Are you spending more time outside?

Are you a brave girl?

Yesterday I began my journey with the Brave Girls Club and started the Soul Restoration on-line course and I can't believe how full of energy I am just since I started.  I don't know what it is!  Maybe it's that I'm taking some time for myself and trying to figure out what really belongs in my life and that is actually exciting.  Usually by this time at night (8:24) I really am sleepy and ready for bed, but not tonight or last night.  Hey, I'll take it!

So far, I've watched some inspiring videos by the amazing hosts of the course, created some art and did some journaling.  I can't wait to see what transpires if I already feel this way after two days!

Anyone else out there part of this group?  I'd love to hear from you!
