Sweet summer is coming to a close and we took a family hike the other day to a county park. First we let Mazie run around with the other little dogs in the dog area then we went on a hike on this amazing day. The sky was so blue and it was only in the 70s, so it was just perfect. The weeds are at that full-bloom stage so everything was just bursting, Queen Anne's Lace, milkpods as well as others I can't name. The air was even different. As much as I don't want summer to end, the beginning of fall is one of my favorite times of year.

What's your favorite time of year? Do you look forward to the changing of the leaves or are you already mourning the end of summer?
October is my favorite month. So, I guess it is safe to say, fall is my favorite time of year. Always such a welcome break from the long hot summers we have here in Austin.
ReplyDeleteAnn Marie--Since I live in Wisconsin, I guess I don't realize how hot southern states are and that you welcome fall weather--especially you in Texas! I bet your summers are scorching!

I love summer, but I do love the cooling of the air, the crisping of the leaves and the angle of the sun on those nice days. I still mourn the end of summer and I try to keep my anxiety about cold and snow at bay. But I do love autumn and the awesome transition... ahhh... I'm feeling some inspiration for a future blogpost of my own. Thanks for posting!
